residence-based pension
A pension based on residence does not require that you work. You can be granted the pension simply because you live in that country. You can get a pension from Kela if
- you have lived in Finland for at least 3 years since you turned 16, and
- your other pensions and benefits are below the income limit for the residence-based pension.
You can get a residence-based pension from abroad from
- Australia,
- Denmark
- Iceland,
- Israel,
- the Netherlands,
- Norway, and
- Sweden.
- Suomeksi: asumisperusteinen eläke
